Phillip Heller 9310f8deb2 Fix recognition of Mac OS X based systems 
Previously, Mac OS X was recognized during py2app invocation, as well as runtime
by comparison of os.name with 'macos'.  The value of os.name reports as 'posix'
under more recent version of Python built on Mac OS X.  Now, the recognition is
instead done by comparing sys.platform with 'darwin'.

Phillip Heller 07b705ffcb Fix discovery of gdk-pixbuf-loaders 
gdk-pixbuf-loaders location has changed with recent builds of gtk, which breaks
the build of binary client distributions.  This changeset discovers their
proper location by parsing output of gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders.
