We can not rely on setting the focus on the entry as the selection and time
widgets store the input as separate element. So the focus must be set directly
to the input to guarantee that it works for all widgets.

We should use jQuery.merge instead of Array.concat, as concat creates a new
Array (which was not correctly returned) and jQuery.merge merges the contents
of both arrays in the first array.

methods may require the tree to be fully rendered to compute its values, so
