changed title from CI: adapt workflows to the private Gitea runner to Localization: embed es_DO in Tryton core and harden CI2026-10-13 19:55:42 -04:00
define es_DO directly in the Tryton server with es_419 as its parent
store Dominican catalogs as locale/es_DO.po inside the server and each translated module
update CI to validate, build and test the integrated server package
document the protected Weblate branch and deployment workflow
Local verification
5,234 PO catalogs validated
Tryton server sdist and wheel built successfully
9 i18n tests passed
Dominican language/fallback regression test passed
built wheel contains trytond/ir/lang.xml and trytond/ir/locale/es_DO.po
## Localization redesign
- remove the standalone `translation_do` package
- define `es_DO` directly in the Tryton server with `es_419` as its parent
- store Dominican catalogs as `locale/es_DO.po` inside the server and each translated module
- update CI to validate, build and test the integrated server package
- document the protected Weblate branch and deployment workflow
## Local verification
- 5,234 PO catalogs validated
- Tryton server sdist and wheel built successfully
- 9 i18n tests passed
- Dominican language/fallback regression test passed
- built wheel contains `trytond/ir/lang.xml` and `trytond/ir/locale/es_DO.po`
Initialize es_DO catalogs from the Latin American Spanish catalogs so every server module is directly editable in Weblate while retaining es_419 as the configured fallback.
Weblate integration is now active at https://translate.tryton.org.do/projects/tryton-8-0-es-do/. Commit 4038053504 bootstraps es_DO.po for 214 server modules plus trytond.res, while trytond.ir remains the core language definition. Gitea push webhooks update Weblate automatically; Weblate writes only to translation/weblate-8.0, and changes must return through a reviewed PR to integration/8.0. All 216 es_DO catalogs passed gettext validation locally.

Remove the es_419 parent from the es_DO language record and provide the complete core ir catalog so the Dominican locale is independently maintained in core and every module.
Updated per localization decision in commit e22c0497bd: es_DO is now a standalone core language with no ir.lang.parent; the full trytond.ir Dominican catalog is included instead of a one-entry override. Complete locale/es_DO.po catalogs remain in every server module. Local verification passed: all 216 catalogs compile, 9 i18n tests pass, the standalone-language regression test passes, and the wheel contains the complete ir and res catalogs. Weblate received the commit through the Gitea webhook and now exposes the full core catalog.
